Ed Markey for re-election to the United States Senate
Our endorsement is grounded in both shared values and a proven record of results. For decades, Ed Markey has been a consistent champion for climate action, reproductive freedom, consumer protection, workers’ rights, and democracy. He has translated progressive ideas into meaningful legislation and delivered real benefits for Massachusetts communities.
Just as importantly, Markey has always stood with grassroots movements, recognizing that lasting change comes from people organizing and making their voices heard.

Cape & Islands District Attorney Rob Galibois re-election
Rob has demonstrated a record of following through on the specific commitments he made to voters when he first sought the office in 2022. Rob Galibois made clear promises to the people of Cape Cod, Martha’s Vineyard, and Nantucket — and he has kept them. That is the standard we hold our elected officials to, and Rob has met it.
A record of promises made and kept
Since taking office, District Attorney Galibois has delivered on the priorities he ran on:
Establishing a Recovery Court on Martha’s Vineyard.
Galibois promised to treat addiction as a health disorder, not a crime. He delivered, working with the courts to establish a Recovery Court on Martha’s Vineyard.
Creating a Mental Health Court Session in Barnstable District Court.
He pledged to reform how the system handles people with mental health disorders and followed through, advocating strongly for a dedicated Mental Health Court Session in Barnstable District Court — and the Trial Court heard that advocacy and opened the session.
Protecting reproductive rights.
Within days of the Dobbs decision, Galibois pledged never to use his prosecutorial discretion to charge anyone for seeking, providing, or receiving abortion care. He has kept that pledge, and his written commitment is a matter of public record.
Expanding pre-trial diversion.
His office actively identifies eligible individuals charged with minor, non-violent offenses for diversion programs that include community service — keeping people out of the criminal justice system and off criminal records where appropriate.
Addressing racial disparities in the criminal justice system.
Galibois pledged to confront racial disparities through education, data, and collaboration with law enforcement, community leaders, and social justice advocates.

Jack Richardson for State Representative for the 3rd Barnstable District.
Jack has a proven record of delivering for working-class families, protecting immigrants, and conserving the natural resources that define the Upper Cape. He doesn’t just talk about progressive values — he acts on them. On the Falmouth Select Board, he has shownexactly what kind of legislator he will be: effective, principled, and squarely on the side of the people he serves.
A record of concrete results
As a member of the Falmouth Select Board — where he became the youngest person elected in the town’s more than 300-year history — Richardson has racked up a record that speaks for itself:
Tax relief for year-round residents.
Richardson championed and passed a 10% residential tax exemption, saving year-round residents an average of $400 a year. At a time when housing costs are pushing working families off the Cape, this was a direct, tangible benefit to the people who live and work here year-round.
Standing up for immigrants.
Richardson led the effort to ban ICE from town property without a judicial warrant and secured funding for a Portuguese-speaking social worker — a critical resource in a community with a large Cape Verdean population. He has made clear that Falmouth is a welcoming community that will not be a tool of federal overreach.
Protecting the environment.
Richardson halted a planned development and placed the Long Pond Watershed into permanent conservation, protecting a critical piece of the Upper Cape’s natural landscape for future generations. As someone who grew up hiking, swimming, and playing in these spaces, he understands what is at stake.
Rooted in the community, ready for Beacon Hill
Richardson’s experience extends well beyond the Select Board. He served as District Director for State Senator Dylan Fernandes, where he was the point person for more than $36 million in earmarks for towns, nonprofits, and projects across the South Shore and Upper Cape. He knows how Beacon Hill works — and how to deliver for his district.

Craig Swallow for U.S. Representative MA-9
Swallow, who was raised in New Bedford, appreciates the challenges and the value of our immigrant communities. His mother and grandparents had immigrated from Portugal in the 1960s to escape an authoritarian regime. In recent years, Swallow has become concerned about the direction of our federal government and what he views as complacency among many members of Congress.
Swallow represents the renewal we need in our politics. The time for incrementalism is over; the time for bold action is here. Craig will fight broken systems directly, on behalf of the people of District Nine.
Swallow’s five-point platform supports his vision of affordability and accountability.
- Healthcare for all, not tied to employment, including comprehensive coverage, expanded mental health access, lower prescription drug costs, and investment in community health centers
- Education, specifically creating pathways that lead to jobs requiring modern skills vs. debt, including apprenticeships and internship in partnership with unions and Massachusetts businesses
- Affordable, Stable Housing near transit and job centers, through expansion of housing choice vouchers, rent-to-own programs, emergency rent assistance and eviction prevention and rehabilitation of unused buildings, as well as taxation of empty properties held by speculators
- Energy Affordability and Climate Justice, including a Climate Superfund, disclosure by fossil fuel companies, litigation and recovery, and green apprenticeship programs
- Day-to-Day Cost of Living, including expanded public transit, affordable childcare, more SNAP programs, and ending corporate gouging

Dan Gessen for County Commissioner
Dan exemplifies the new generation of passionate, effective leaders we need. He combines purpose and passion with a record of delivering for working-class families and conserving the natural resources that define the Cape,” said Diane Riche of Indivisible Upper Cape. “In the Assembly of Delegates, he has shown he is a cooperative and strategic public servant, devoted to the well-being of all Cape Codders.”
As a long-term member of the Assembly of Delegates, Gessen has developed a record of achievements while also developing a long-term vision. Two of his top priorities are affordable housing and infrastructure investment.
Gessen recognizes housing as our #1 crisis. Lack of affordable housing drives young people off Cape (including three quarters of his 2018 Falmouth High class), challenges our businesses that cannot find sufficient workers, and exacerbates traffic as more than half of all Cape workers commute over the bridges every day. He continues to champion the adoption of a transfer fee on the sale of homes over $2 million to raise funds for affordable, year-round housing. He continues to advocate for financial relief for homeowners burdened with septic system replacement costs.
Gessen supports investment in schools, technology, and innovation that leads to protection of our resources and local, stable jobs. He worked to secure $1.3 million in Federal funds for wastewater projects, negotiated increases to dredge rates, and supported regional infrastructure initiatives like FalmouthNet. His first infrastructure objective as a commissioner is to high-speed fiber internet across all 15 Cape towns.
